It's a family affair
If you are looking for a boutique experience, yet will offer lower than boutique price tags, you have found us!
Although Tanya owns the store and is the only real employee, it's not unlikely that family or friends will stop in and help out. Therefore, you may be helped by any one of the members of the family or our closest friends! Three generations all have a hand in helping make this idea a success. We love helping others find their dress - for weddings, anniversaries, prom, religious events - the list goes on and on. More than one shopper has left with a hug of excitement at the end of their visit. We love sharing this experience with you. (as corny as that sounds)
Second Story Wedding Shop was born when planning my own wedding. Budget was a big part of our day. We wanted a dream wedding, but our dollars had other priorities. We wanted to shop with the confidence that comes with walking into a store and using a change room. (Yes, we tried the online buy and sell thing - I am much better at balancing on a bathtub to see in a medicine cabinet mirror then I would have thought possible, but this wasn't the memory I wanted!) I was too intimidated to even try and order something from overseas - I had no money to waste. With this, the wheels started to moving, and Second Story began to become a reality.

Found the One at Second Story
A bride of ours made us two beautiful signs. We love them and so do our shoppers! Click the bitton to see those who have shared their moment of buying or wearing their dress!
Want to come shop? Give us a heads up!
Appointments are never required at our shop. You are welcome to give us a heads up you are coming. This way should we have to close for any reason (again, small family business) we know who to let know. It's just a heads up, others may be in the shop at the same time!
Want to consign an item?
Please do not simply bring the item in.
We require pre-approval to bring items in. We have lots of stock and need to make sure we have room for the item, the item has been cleaned and is ready for the next person and lastly that the dress isn't an outdated style. (We don't set an age limit, but we are getting to know the "styles" that are beautiful but unlikely to move.
